the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi —

Assisi's main attraction is the 13th-century
Basilica di San
Francesco, which contains the sacred
relics of Francis and beautiful frescoes of his life. And
there are at least seven other churches well worth visiting
for their history, beauty, and connection with Francis or
his friend Clare. The town of Assisi,
with its Roman ruins, winding
medieval streets and sacred shrines,
has been a major Catholic pilgrimage destination for
centuries.

meet your tour leader and coach at
the hotel and transfer back to the
Vatican City, where we have arranged for
reserved entrance to the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s
Basilica. The Vatican Museums (Musei Vaticani)
contain one of the world's greatest art collections.
Housed in the richly decorated galleries and apartments
of the
VaticanPalace,
the Vatican Museums boast the largest collection of
classical sculpture in the world, plus extensive
artworks from the Etruscan, Egyptian, Early Christian,
Renaissance, and modern periods. Also visit the
magnificent Sistine chapel ,
where you can admire the
Michelangelo masterpiece, Last Judgment. From the Chapel
you will be guided to Saint Peter’s Basilica where you
will admire the Confessional and the Crypt, containing
the tomb of almost all the Popes. You will finish your
guided visit with a look at the spectacular Saint
Peter’s Square.

, Roman Christian Tour: Start by visiting the Basilica
of Saint Giovanni Laterano: dedicated to John the
Baptist and John the Evangelist. It is also the
cathedral of the Bishop of Rome, the Pope, and is thus

and of the World." Built by Constantine the Great in the
4th century, San Giovanni in Laterano was the first
church to be built in Rome.

Palace and Loretto Church. Cross the Charles Bridge and
walk through the old quarter of Prague to view the

Cathedral. Enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town
where you will visit the Main Market Square,

the afternoon departure to Lagiewniki is
a district of Krakow famous
thanks to Saint Sister Faustina,
an apostle of theDivine Mercy. Sister Mary
Faustina Kowalska promulgated the worship of
God's Charity and the painting "Jesus, I Trust
You" - the shrine of Divine Mercy. Annually,
each leading Sunday, pilgrimages from all over Europe arrive
to pray in front of the miraculous likeness and
Saint Faustina's tomb. On 17th August 2002, the

famous painting of Black Madonna which has a

KAREM AND BETHLEHEM
Drive to
Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, enter
the Church of the Nativity, the oldest continuously
functioning church in the world. View the cave where
Jesus was born. Stop at Shepherds’ Field where the
angels appeared on that first Christmas night,
spreading good tidings of great joy for all the
people. This afternoon, travel to Ein Karem, the
birthplace of John the Baptist, and the place Mary
traveled to share her good news with
Elizabeth. Return to your hotel in
Jerusalem for dinner & overnight.

OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM
A magnificent tour of
the Holy City of Jerusalem begins with a drive to
the old walled city. While walking through the four
quarters that make up the OldCity,
you will visit the Western (Wailing) Wall, the
Temple area, the Dome of the Rock, the Pool
of Bethesda and the
Church of St. Anne.
Next, walk the path of the Stations of the Cross as
you traverse the Via Dolorosa, beginning at Pilate's
